Sienna Plantation

SIENNA PLANTATION, originally part of Stephen F. Austin’s “Old Three Hundred” colony, was first settled in 1824 and has since grown into a rich community full of history. After a series of colorful owners took the land
from sugar cane cultivation to ranching, it was finally handed over to a trust in the name of its final proprietors, the Scanlan sisters, for whom the restored mansion in present day Sienna Plantation is still named. After the
sisters’ deaths, Sienna Plantation briefly served as a retreat for the Catholic Diocese of Houston-Galveston before the area’s picturesque countryside was developed into the 10,000-acre master-planned community that is home to a new wave of settlers in Fort Bend.
