Briarhills

RIARHILLS, located in west Houston between Highway 6 and N. Eldridge Parkway, just south of Buffalo Bayou, features a mix of nearly 700 single-family houses built in the late ‘70s, ‘80s and early ‘90s. Architectural styles alternate between contemporary and traditional.

Median square footage comes in at 2,373, with median lot square footage at 6,480. The subdivision averages three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Students are zoned to Houston and Crosby independent school districts.
Briarhills has both a property owners association and a homeowners’ association, with Meadowbriar and Oaks of Parkway subdivisions also covered; streets determine which association governs a home.

The combined associations offer a variety of amenities to residents, including a clubhouse, tennis courts, basketball courts, pool and playing fields, all of which border Buffalo Bayou and the hiking and biking trails of Terry Hershey Park. The community also has the youth Briarhills Dolphins Swim Team. A newsletter, BriarBeat, publishes monthly, and the associations host the annual Briarhills Market Festival each fall as well as many other events.

Close proximity to the Energy Corridor makes Briarhills attractive to homebuyers in the industry. Just to the north, the corridor offers employment opportunities as well as an abundance of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Just across Highway 6, George Bush Park offers easily accessible hiking, biking and boating. Downtown Houston is
just 20 miles away via I-10.
