Willow Meadows

WILLOW MEADOWS, once a sleepy neighborhood, is entering an era of renewed activity. Mature trees and winding roads amid mostly single story ranch style mid-century homes add to the charm of this sought-after community. Established in 1953 with most homes built from 1956 – 1959, Willow Meadows is nestled at the southwest corner of Loop 610, bounded by South Braeswood on the north and McDermed and Knickerboker
on the south. The main entrance to the community is from the West Bellfort esplanade with its granite and stone monuments noting the neighborhood and custom address numbers in front of every home. Because of its relatively short commute time to the Texas Medical Center, Downtown Houston, and Uptown Houston, the neighborhood is home to upper-middle class professionals and educators.

Recent development of upscale retail centers in and around Willow Meadows illustrates its continued attraction to home buyers. The subdivision is next to Meyer Park, a popular shopping destination featuring trendy shops and restaurants.

There are a total of 820 homes with numerous recent constructions and several more currently in the works. Many of the homes sit on large lots and are good renovation candidates because their floor plans make
it relatively easy to move walls and create a more open concept. Deed restrictions were ratified in 1998 and offer strong covenants and a very involved homeowners association.

Willow Meadows is zoned to Houston ISD schools. All residents are zoned to the newly renovated Red Elementary School and Johnston Middle School. (Students zoned to Johnston Middle School may attend Pin Oak Middle School in Bellaire instead.) Residents north of West Bellfort are zoned to Bellaire High School (in Bellaire), while residents south of West Bellfort are zoned to Westbury High School.
